Summer is almost here and that means it's the time of the year to go on a holiday. Have you already booked one? Or are you still deciding on where to go? Well for those lucky ones who get to visit Barcelona this summer or planning to, you might want to continue reading this article..
I got the chance to stay at the beautiful Praktik Rambla , located near one of the most vibrant streets of the city where the hotel got its name from, Las Ramblas. The hotel is situated in this old authentic building so al lot of rooms have a lot of beautiful features, such as high ceilings and pretty tile floors! We had a room at the back of the building which is probably less noisy than the rooms at the front. Those are also the rooms with the tiles, open bathrooms and on the sunny side of the builing, so I highly recommend those! We had a very nice balcony overlooking the inner yard which was also a feast for the eye. There were so many pretty corners in the hotel that we easily could stay indoors all day! We didn't, of course, but it was such a nice place to return to after a long day of exploring the city itself.
Another striking feature of the hotel was the 'lounge area' on the first floor where they offer free coffee and tea facilities, which is always a plus. All three times that I went there I always found myself to be the only person, which made me feel like I had this awesome private working space for a few days!
Please note that they don't have a own breakfast area so they offer a breakfast at a restaurant next doors, what I do not recommend. Book the rooms without breakfast and enjoy one at one of the many other brasseries or restaurants nearby, there's plenty of choice!
Smaller wallet? Try their other hotels such as Praktik Bakery (read my review) and Praktik Garden. Small hotels with a boutique feel for those who have a budget. Happy holidays!
