Don't you ever struggle with finding the right face mask for your skin type? YES - I know you do. I do. We all actually do. Why? Because one type of mask won't be enough to treat all the different skin types that can be found on our face. Our skin is always changing due to many factors, such as your mood (like stress is awful for my skin), climate or even what kind of food you consume. Your forehead may be dry today and oily tomorrow. Sounds familiar?
"ONE TYPE OF MASK WON'T BE ENOUGH TO TREAT ALL OF YOUR SKIN TYPES"
That's where the #multimasking trend comes in. What's that again? Well it's basically exactly what it sounds like; applying multiple facial masks all at one time. I believe that most people out there have a combination skin type like I do and this might give our skin the exact treatment it needs.
So today I'm walking you through the world of multimasking which will leave your skin perfectly detoxed! I'm using the L'Oréal Paris Pure Clay Masks line, which can be combined with the Delicate Flower line I wrote about last week. In my full routine, I would apply a mask after the cleansing part and before toning.
Made with seaweed; this blue Pure Clay Mask from L'Oréal Paris clears and comforts your skin. It cleans your pores from dirt and is also very effective for using against blackheads. I usually apply this on my nose a.k.a major problem zone (can't be the only one) and sometimes also on my chin and the place between both my brows.
All though this is also one of the clay masks, it doesn't get that flaky like the other three. But remember don't ever leave your (clay) mask on for too long! But the longer the better right? - WRONG! Rinse your face with water after 5-10 min before it gets really cracky - I know this is the fun part, but don't - otherwise it will draw out all the moisture from the surface of your skin.
Made with Eucalyptus; the green one is THE one for an oily and shiny zone, or that awful T-zone that keeps haunting all of us. It has a purifying effect and leaves your skin as matt as it can be.
Made with red algae; The red one comes with a light scrub and exfoliates and refines. It leaves a smooth surface by removing all dead skin and also fights deep clogged pores as they will visibly minimized. My skin is very sensitive so I normally avoid using any products with a scrub, so when I use this mask I only put it underneath my eye / above my cheekbones where I have deep pores.
Made with charcoal; Last but not at least! My favourite of all four. The black one detoxifies and is made for a dull-and tired looking skin. Since I lack sleep all the time, you can say they we are a more than perfect match. When I'm multimasking I usually apply this underneath my cheekbones or/and on my forehead. But when I feel like it, I sometimes apply it on my entire face!
