Bonjour!
It was sunny and bright when we arrived at the Gare Du Nord train station back in October, and because we didn't brought many luggage with us we decided to continue our travel by foot. Approximately 15 minutes walking from the station lies the beautiful recently renovated Grand Pigalle hotel. The very first thing that caught my eye was the sleek black exterior with golden linings. Upon entering we were greeted by a kind frenchman who walked us through all the necessary details; welcome to your ultimate Parisian experience!
We stayed at a room on the fifth floor on the street side, which was surprisingly not noisy at all. Maybe it was because we we so tired at every end of the day that we slept through everything like a baby, or maybe it was the super comfortable bed that made me feel like I was sleeping on cloud nine. If you're a poor sleeper and don't want to take the risk to be waken up at night, they have very nice rooms on the first floor with a cute patio, located at the back of the building. If you love bright spaces, please do note that these rooms have less natural light falling in then the other rooms at the front.
The Grand Pigalle is a typical - but not so typical, French small boutique hotel with 37 beautifully decorated rooms. I think the one thing that you guys will love the most about this place is the interior and all the carefully picked details that comes with it; cute golden pineapples on every room door, martini glass-printed carpet, marble bathrooms, the famous Parisian balconies and no matter where you stand, everything seems to be #ihavethisthingswithfloors Instagram proof!
